Chroí Mháire Foodbank was set up in 2022 in memory of Mary McDonnell. We are based out of St Ciaran’s Church in Hartstown. We are currently the only foodbank in operation in Dublin 15. Since being set up the numbers of households we are helping are continuing to rise. We work alongside St Vincent de Paul, Blanchardstown Centre for Independent Living (BCIL) and Empower. We distribute non-perishable foods and are always looking for donations of the following such items:

  • Porridge/Cereal
  • Tinned vegetables ie; carrots, beans, peas, sweetcorn.
  • Sauces ie; pasta, curry, bolognese, lasagne.
  • Tinned/packet soup
  • Tea/Coffee
  • Jam/Marmalade/Chocolate/ peanut butter spread
  • Pasta & Rice
  • Breakfast Bars, Rice Cakes or other items suitable for school lunches.
  • Tinned meat or fish
  • Biscuits 

Food items may be brought to St. Ciaran's Church at mass times also Verona FC have kindly offered the use of their office as a drop off point. Any donations can be dropped off between 10am and 3pm Monday - Friday. They are located on Grove Road, Coolmine, Dublin 15.
