50/50 Cashback Fundraiser – to Begin in September 2018
You could Win up to €3,800 each Month
Dear Parishioners & Friends,
What is it? 50/50 cashback is a monthly draw where half the money collected is returned as a prize to one lucky participant. The other half goes toward funding the major improvement works to be carried out in St. Philip’s Parish Church, Mountview.
How does it work? Each participant pays €2 and is allocated a numbered ticket. On the last Sunday of each month, after 12 O’ Clock Mass, one ticket will be drawn and half the money collected for that month will go to the holder of that ticket. The more money collected, the bigger the prize. The remainder of the money collected will go to the parish building fund.
What are the funds required for? We are anxious to install a web-cam facility in the church and upgrade the CCTV security system. Installation of a webcam will allow those living away from the parish and those incapacitated or for other reasons unable to attend the church to follow services, including Masses, Weddings, First Communions, Funerals etc.
Is there a limit to the monthly prize? Under the terms of the licence issued by An Garda Síochána our prize may not exceed €3,800. We cannot, therefore sell more than 3,800 tickets for any monthly draw.
When can I join? You can join at any time.
How many tickets can I buy? You can buy as many as you wish, provided tickets remain to be sold.
Will my name be published if I win? Each month the amount collected for that month, the prize money and the name of the winner and lucky ticket number will be published on the church notice board, the parish website and in the parish newsletter.
How will payment be made? Winners will be contacted by telephone and prizes will be paid by cheque.
Will I get a receipt for my subscription? Your ticket will be your receipt and will specify the draw for which the ticket is valid.
Has a permit been issued for the draw? A permit allowing the parish hold the draw was issued by Superintendent William Carolan, Garda Síochána, Blanchardstown on 15 February, 2018
